my magazine I used bright bold colours that are eye-catching for my audience. Vibe has 3 main colours to its colour scheme; pink, blue and black. Although my magazine uses a different colur scheme of blue, red and white (to represent the British flag) both magazine use 3 bold colours as their colour scheme to attract the audience

My music magazine confirms and develops the conventions of real music magazines. I researched magazines of the same and different genres to become familiar with their presentational deceives so I could integrate the devices onto my magazine
- Like vibe my magazine also uses similar language devices such as superlatives to engage the reader and make the magazine sound as if it is 1 of a kind and that it is crucial that the reader must buy the magazine
- The photograph included on my front page uses direct address like vibe. My photograph confirms the conventions of real RnB music magazines as some of the style conventions associated with that genre (such as era hats) my models are wearing. Also similar to vibe my main image takes up a majority of the space on my front cover, this is a convention of most magazines in general. My photo however is a full length whereas the photo on the vibe front cover is a medium close-up
-I have used a similar mise-en-scene to some magazines of the same genre. I have used a plain white background, to keep it simple yet a little classy. The vibe front cover uses a plain background which is a light gray but it appears darker as shadows are reflected on the back ground.

Above are two examples of the magazine XXL. Like my magazine one of the backgrounds is plain white. In contrast to that the other background is of a lower-class house. This is an example of similar and different mise-en-scenes of the same genre
Although my magazine confirms some of the conventions of the RnB genre, my magazine is different to magazines of the same genre. My magazine is a Best of British issue. Therefore connoting interest in the British music scene. Whereas other RnB magazines would not have a theme like the I have produced in my magazine
Overall I feel that my magazine mostly develops the conventions of real media products. However it can be argued that my maagzine challenges the forms of real RnB magazines as my music magazine is a Best of British issue
